I sat in the banquet room of a local country club with a group of Libertarians who had come together for their monthly business meeting. This was not my local affiliate’s meeting, but there were a number of people who were in attendance who were also not members, so I did not feel out of place. Saturday the Libertarian Party of Pinellas County brought together all of the candidates for city council in St. Petersburg for an unbiased forum intended to educate the population on the candidates running. Candidates from as many different walks of life as different backgrounds came, all looking excited and happy to be there, filled with a sense of relief that there is a group out there who will allow them to get their voices out to the public. The event was covered by Bay News 9, and overall was considered a rousing success by everyone in attendance. Continue reading Libertarian Party Of Pinellas County Hosts Candidate Forum

This event has been lambasted by all members of the media, as well as being described by the city’s mayor, Joseph P. Riley, Jr., as an act of, “Pure, pure concentrated evil.” Dylann was a single individual who planned and carried out this while taking a psychiatric drug called Suboxone, which was intended but failed, one could surmise, to keep him sane (edit: Dylann was not prescribed this drug, but instead was taking it recreationally).
